Paul Manoj Pandian of DMK won the Alangulam Assembly constituency (Tirunelveli district, Deep South) in the Tamil Nadu 2026 election, taking 31.32% of 220,857 votes cast. The winning margin over K R P Prabakaran (ADMK) was 7,798 votes, or 3.53 percentage points. The seat flipped from ADMK to DMK since 2021.
