Madhar Badhurudeen of TVK won the Madurai Central Assembly constituency (Madurai district, Madurai Region) in the Tamil Nadu 2026 election, taking 42.68% of 148,586 votes cast. The winning margin over Palanivel Thiaga Rajan (DMK) was 19,128 votes, or 12.87 percentage points. The seat flipped from DMK to TVK since 2021.
